Daytime Postpartum Doula Support
details on daytime postpartum doula support
Every shift, every baby, every family is unique so no shift of postpartum doula support will look the same. I start each shift with a quick text to see if I can run any errands or pick up anything for you as I’m on the way. Upon arrival, we’ll talk through any specific goals and needs you’d like to accomplish during the shift. These can range from baby care like bathing or addressing concerns about diaper rash or checking your incision or talking through how YOU are doing. It can also include making sure you get a nap, a shower, help with breastfeeding or pumping. It may also include things like preparing you for your first solo-outing with your baby or washing and putting away laundry or taking your dog for a nice, long walk or maybe even just me preparing you a warm, nutritious meal while we talk about parenthood. The goal for the visit could also be that I take care of baby while you spend quality, uninterrupted time with your older child(ren) or that I spend quality time with your older child(ren) while you dedicate all of your attention to your newborn(s).
